Luiz Henrique Bonani received the B.S. (2000), M.Sc. (2003) and Ph.D. (2006) degrees in Electrical Engineering from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). From September 2005 to February 2006 he was at DEIS, University of Bologna, with a Ph.D. student fellowship. From March 2007 to December 2008 was Professor at the School of Technology of State University of Campinas. Nowadays he is Assistant Professor (Professor Adjunto) at the Center for Engineering, Modeling and Social Sciences (CECS) of UFABC, Brazil. He has authored and co-authored papers in journals and international conferences. His scientific interests are on Switching Network Architectures, Transport Systems based on Optical Switching, Transparent Optical Networks and General Optical Communications Systems.
