CREBES

CREBES was the research group “Conservation and Restoration of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services in Terrestrial and Aquatic Environments“, which is registred at CNPq.

The team consists of Cibele Biondo, Leandro Tambosi, Márcio Werneck, Natalia Pirani Ghilardi-Lopes and me.

This research group aims to bring together biologists who are specialists in different taxonomic groups that focus on different levels of organization to discuss issues related to the conservation and restoration of biodiversity in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Biodiversity conservation is a theme that unites biologists to study theoretical aspects of ecology and evolution, as well as seek solutions to applied issues, such as mitigating the effects of human activities on biological communities, ensuring species conservation and providing services ecosystems. We hope that the projects and publications resulting from the discussions and collaborations of this group will result in contributions to the theoretical field and to the decision making aimed at the conservation and recovery of biodiversity reaching national and international repercussion.
